FVKD Snowballs Flower 3.5g: Frosted THCA Hemp Flower

Snowballs is the one product in this catalogue that arrives as actual flower. Not a concentrate, not a device, not a preroll: 3.5 grams of cured THCA hemp bud you grind and use however you prefer. The name refers to how the buds look, dense and pale with a heavy coating of trichomes that gives them a frosted appearance. Available as a single, a 2 pack and a 3 pack.

What Is THCA Flower?

THCA flower is hemp bud in which the dominant cannabinoid is tetrahydrocannabinolic acid rather than delta 9 THC. In its raw, unheated state THCA is not intoxicating. Apply flame or sufficient heat and decarboxylation converts it into THC, which is why THCA flower performs like traditional high potency cannabis while remaining hemp derived on paper.

This is the same chemistry that underpins the rest of the catalogue, just without any processing beyond growing, drying and curing. There is no extraction step, so nothing is concentrated and nothing is stripped away. What you get is the plant.

For a lot of people that is the appeal. Flower is the least processed format available, it is the most familiar, and it gives you complete control over how much you use and how you use it.

Why It Is Called Snowballs

The name is descriptive rather than a strain designation. Snowballs refers to bud structure and appearance: rounded, dense, tightly formed nugs with a pale, heavily frosted look created by a thick covering of trichomes.

Density in cured flower generally indicates a well grown and properly finished plant. Loose, airy, wispy bud usually points to problems during cultivation or drying. Tight, weighty nugs that hold their shape are what you want to see when you open a bag.

The frost is the visually striking part, and it is also the functionally important part, which is worth understanding properly.

Trichomes and What Frost Actually Means

Trichomes are the tiny resin producing glands that cover cannabis flower. Under magnification they look like miniature mushrooms with bulbous heads, and those heads are where cannabinoids and terpenes are actually produced and stored.

So the frosted appearance is not decoration. A heavy trichome coating means more resin, which means more cannabinoid content and more aroma. It is the single most useful visual indicator of quality available to a buyer holding a jar, which is why experienced flower buyers look at frost before anything else.

Trichomes are also fragile. Rough handling, excessive heat and long storage in the wrong conditions all knock them off or degrade them, which is why how you store flower matters as much as how it was grown. It is also the same resin that gets pressed into live rosin, so if you have used our rosin products, this is the raw material they come from.

Ways to Use It

Flower is the most flexible format we sell, because you decide the form it takes.

Rolling. Grind evenly and roll to a consistent density. Uneven grinding is the main cause of a joint that burns down one side. If you would rather skip this step entirely, our preroll collection covers twelve strains already rolled.

A pipe or bong. The simplest route, and the one that wastes least. Pack loosely rather than tightly so air can move through, and take the flame to the edge of the bowl rather than the middle to keep the rest fresh for later.

A dry herb vaporiser. The most efficient option by a wide margin. Vaporising heats flower below combustion, producing vapour rather than smoke, and it extracts noticeably more from the same quantity of bud. It also preserves terpene flavour that burning destroys.

Whichever route you choose, grind consistency matters more than most people expect. Too coarse and it burns unevenly, too fine and airflow is restricted.

Flower vs Prerolls vs Concentrates

PrerollsGround and rolledModerateConvenience with the flower experience
DisposablesExtracted concentratePer drawDiscretion, portability, higher potency

Flower is less potent than any concentrate here, and that is not a criticism. Many people prefer the more moderate, more familiar experience it gives, and it remains the easiest format in which to take a little rather than a lot.

Storing Flower Properly

Flower is the most perishable thing we sell, and poor storage ruins good bud faster than anything else.

Keep it in an airtight container, somewhere cool, dark and stable. Light degrades cannabinoids, heat drives off terpenes, and air dries the flower until it smokes harshly. A glass jar in a cupboard is genuinely better than most purpose made solutions.

Do not refrigerate or freeze it. Condensation cycles damage trichomes, and frozen trichomes become brittle and break off entirely when the bud is handled. Do not leave it in a car either, where temperature swings are extreme.

Handle it gently and grind only what you need. Every time flower is knocked around, some resin is lost, and that resin is the part you actually paid for.

Pack Sizes

Snowballs Flower comes in 3.5g as a single, a 2 pack and a 3 pack, with the per unit price improving at larger sizes. Because flower degrades over time in a way concentrates largely do not, buying a quantity you will realistically finish within a couple of months makes more sense here than it does elsewhere in the catalogue.

Bundle pricing is the standing saving on this product, explained in full on our coupon codes page.

Every batch is third party tested. For flower, the cannabinoid breakdown tells you total THCA content, and the contaminant panels matter particularly here because flower is consumed with far less processing than a concentrate. Pesticide and microbial results deserve a proper look. Our lab results guide explains how to find your batch and read each section.

Hemp derived THCA is federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill, which defines hemp by delta 9 THC on a dry weight basis. THCA flower specifically attracts more state level restriction than most other formats, because it looks and smells exactly like cannabis, and several states have moved against it directly. Check your own state rules carefully before ordering flower in particular.

This product is for adults aged 21 and over. Buy from an authorised retailer and verify the batch, using our verification checklist.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Snowballs flower?
Cured THCA hemp flower in 3.5g, named for its dense, rounded, heavily frosted buds. It is unprocessed bud rather than a concentrate or a device.

Why does it look frosted?
A heavy coating of trichomes, the resin glands that hold cannabinoids and terpenes. Frost is the most useful visual quality indicator on flower.

Is flower as strong as a disposable?
No. Concentrates are considerably stronger. Flower gives a more moderate, more familiar experience with easier control over how much you take.

What is the most efficient way to use it?
A dry herb vaporiser. It extracts more from the same quantity and preserves flavour that burning destroys.

How should I store it?
Airtight, cool, dark and stable. Never refrigerate or freeze, and never leave it in a car.

What sizes are available?
3.5g as a single, a 2 pack and a 3 pack. Buy what you will finish in a couple of months, since flower degrades over time.

Is THCA flower legal?
Federally it falls under the 2018 Farm Bill, but flower attracts more state restriction than other formats. Check your state rules carefully.
